🧬 DNA Health Testing – Embark

All breeding dogs in our program undergo comprehensive DNA health screening through Embark Veterinary to ensure that no affected puppies are produced and that each pairing is planned with intention, knowledge, and long-term breed preservation in mind.

Our dogs are currently CLEAR for:

Degenerative Myelopathy (DM – SOD1A)

Dry Eye / Curly Coat Syndrome (FAM83H Exon 5)

Episodic Falling Syndrome (BCAN)

Medium-Chain Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MCADD – Cavalier Variant)

Muscular Dystrophy (DMD – Cavalier Variant 1)

This testing allows us to move forward with confidence, knowing that these inherited conditions will not be produced in our puppies.

By combining DNA screening with OFA cardiac, patella, and annual eye certifications, we are building a program that goes beyond pet-quality and is rooted in true health, structure, and preservation.
